Current Events

Moscow and Pullman both have vibrant communities and many opportunities to connect. These activities will help you in your journey to make lasting friendships with people on the Palouse.

Talk Time

Where: Great Room at the 1912 Center
412 East 3rd St, Moscow, ID
When: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Friday, September 10th
  • Friday, October 8th
  • Friday, November 12th
  • Friday, December 17th

Once a month, international students and families from the community gather to share a big meal together.  Each Talk Time has a theme with conversation topics, and games or activities. This is a place to practice conversational English with native English speakers and make American friends. We can give you a ride, or you can walk just a few minutes across downtown to get there.

September’s theme is “Welcome Back: A Taste of the Nations.”

The food will be “potluck style,” with everyone bringing a home-cooked dish to share. If you would like, you can bring a dish from your home country to share!

Discovery Bible Study

Where: Rotating homes
When: 6:30pm – 9pm

On the first and third Fridays of the month, we gather together in a local home to read the Bible together and have a spiritual discussion. You don’t have to be Christian to come! All faith backgrounds are welcome to come share a meal (food is provided), and read and discuss a passage from the Bible.

This is another great opportunity to practice conversational English and meet American friends, while encouraging each other and taking a break from classes. If you’ve ever wondered what Christians believe, this is a safe place to ask questions and find out more!
